Welcome to Solitaire Stories: The Quest for Seeta, a tale of true love set amidst a world filled with amazing Solitaire puzzles. This game is the tale of the royal brothers Laxaman and Rama, both of whom were exiled in a forest in ancient India together with Rama’s wife, Seeta. One day, the brothers angered a demon when they attacked and defeated his minions in an assault. As revenge, the demon kidnapped Seeta. Now, the brothers journey through the ancient forest in pursuit of Seeta.
Like most solitaire games, this one employs a very simple mechanic of gameplay. You have a board filled with cards, most of which are face down while only the bottom most rows consist of face-up cards. Below the board, you have your deck cards, one of which is face up. What you need to do is to pair up the card in the deck with cards on the board that are one number high or lower than the deck card. So, if a King is face up on the deck, you can pair it with a Queen, and then the Queen can be paired with either a Jack or a King.
The suit of the card does not matter. A heart can be paired up with an ace, or a diamond with a spade.
Power ups are available in the game, but you have to purchase them for 5000 points each. This means that, the higher you score in every level, the higher your in-game cash reserves would be. You can buy more power ups that way. There are only two power ups in the game – the Wild Card, which can be matched with any card on the board, and the Undo, which you press if you made a mistake and you want to go back to your previous move.
You have boosters as well, in the forms of four characters in the game. Each character has his or her own special that can aid you in a game. Seeta, for instance, can give you additional deck cards.
These additional cards are taken from the face down cards in the board. Rama, on the other hand, can remove face up cards from the deck. Laxaman does the opposite – it removes one face down card. For some reason, boosters can be used for free and once in every level.
The objective of the game is collect three pearls, but collecting one or two can get you through a level as well. You must be able to remove all the cards that block the pearl card, which is the top most of any pile in the board.
You can also encounter cards that are misty, or have their contents covered by clouds. These can be freed by freeing the card with the key symbol.
